SUSTAINABLE FUTURES COMPETITION

A challenge for Y7-Y11 students focusing on environment and sustainability

We challenge you to come up with an innovative idea about how to reduce our environmental impact.

The United Nations’ has proposed 17 Sustainable Development Goals, a call for action by all countries to promote prosperity while protecting the planet.

Sustainability is based on a simple principle: Everything that we need for our survival and well-being depends, either directly or indirectly, on our natural environment. To pursue sustainability is to create and maintain the conditions under which humans and nature can exist in productive harmony to support present and future generations.

The next generation are already making their voices heard about climate change, the use of plastics, ocean pollution and many other environmental issues. And Sheffield Hallam University want to hear from you!

We challenge Y7-Y11 students to come up with an innovative idea about how to reduce our environmental impact. Think about finding solutions to issues with energy, food, transport, resources and nature.

The winning submissions will be announced on our Twitter account @SHUOutreach and contacted directly.
